13/05: JETRO hopes to secure technology transfers from Great Britain to Japan
The Japan Foreign Trade Organization, or JETRO, is stepping up its efforts to introduce Britain's cutting edge technologies into Japanese companies.
The state agency will hold a seminar on technology transfers with the British University of Cambridge in June, which will open the doors of a laboratory to external visitors for the first time, by enabling it as a conference room.
According to JETRO leaders, the seminar will discuss green car technologies (such as fuel cell systems), but JETRO plans to promote technology transfers in fields such as biotechnology or nanotechnology in the future.
